Moffitt Services runs on the skill and dedication of its fuel delivery drivers. These professionals form the backbone of our operation, ensuring customers receive critical fuel 24/7, 365 days a year. Every September, we celebrate their relentless commitment with our annual driver appreciation event, recognizing the individuals who keep America moving. You can see a look back at the celebration here: Moffitt Services Driver Appreciation Video.

Precision Planning and Prioritizing Safety
Moffitt Services drivers begin their day well before sunrise. “I start every morning by placing safety first in my mind,” driver Rocky shared. Then, he and other drivers review the customer list to plan the most efficient route. This process requires a constant collaboration with dispatch to maximize the volume of product carried safely. The goal always remains to serve the maximum number of customers while ensuring timely delivery. For example, driver Dean Archbold recalled: “I’ve delivered fuel to as many as 22 customers in one shift… during a storm response.” Clearly, this preparation reflects Moffitt’s commitment to efficiency and timely service.

Safety remains everything in this highly precise job. Therefore, the drivers establish safety of self and equipment as the first priority of the day. They ensure safety at every stop by evaluating the site immediately. Furthermore, they guarantee they place the equipment in a safe area, constantly evaluating any potential hazards that might arise during the delivery process. Archbold explained that the top priorities prevent spills, avoid cross-drops—the placement of the wrong fuel into the wrong tank—and ensure no vehicle contact occurs. Consequently, attention to detail becomes critical for every driver. Archbold noted: “I take notes, double-check every load, and make sure I deliver the exact product and amount the customer needs.” Moffitt supports these efforts; the company equips the trucks with advanced dash cameras that monitor both the road and the cab. If the system flags an issue, the driver receives a notification at the end of the day and watches a training video right away. This technology keeps drivers sharp, accountable, and safe. These daily efforts demonstrate why we prioritize driver appreciation across the company.
Fueling Relationships, 24/7
Building strong relationships with the on-site point of contact proves essential. Landri St. Clair once asked Archbold how he interacts with clients. He replied that drivers deliver much more than fuel; they deliver dependability and a personable attitude. Archbold said: “When customers see that we know the job, communicate clearly, and genuinely care, it sets Moffitt apart.” This trust makes all interactions run smoother. Rocky added: “I always greet my customers and ensure that we have the correct asset as well as amount of fuel we are to be delivering.” We strive to ensure that all customers leave satisfied with Moffitt.
The oil and gas industry operates 24/7, affecting driver schedules constantly. Archbold explained: “Some days, you think you’re finished, and then dispatch calls with a customer an hour away who needs fuel immediately. You just go.” Immediately, they go. “And honestly, it’s a great feeling when you arrive early or even within 30 minutes of that call.” The customer is happy, and that energy transfers directly to the drivers. Archbold shared: “Hearing customers compliment our speed and service—that’s why we’re here,” a core reason for the annual focus on driver appreciation.
Frontline Heroes in a Crisis
Being on the front lines during a disaster provides a unique honor. Archbold explained: “It’s high-pressure, but it’s also rewarding. We don’t just fuel tanks—we help people before, during, and after disasters.” Rocky echoed this sentiment: “I truly enjoy being on the front line during disaster response. I feel that we are able to provide customers who are desperately in need of services during a crisis with the ‘Moffitt Excellent Customer Service.’ This gives the customers a sense of hope during really bad times.” Moffitt makes it possible for the drivers to take care of entire communities, which helps build long-term relationships nationwide. Consequently, showing up again later almost feels like visiting an old friend.
Archbold recalled one unforgettable story: “during Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles. The rain poured sideways, and the wind pushed our trucks across the bridge. It felt like we might get blown off, but we kept going.” He added: “We call those our ‘war stories.’ They remind us why we accept this challenge—because the people we serve are enduring something even harder. If we can show up with a good attitude, keep them running, and bring a little relief, then our job fulfills a real purpose.” Our commitment during these critical moments defines the spirit of our team and ensures we maintain high standards, a quality we continually recognize through driver appreciation.

Moffitt Services drivers embody purpose, precision, and dedication. They handle the most critical and challenging deliveries with skill and a smile. These professionals remain the true frontline heroes of our business. Therefore, we celebrate them all year, culminating in September’s driver appreciation event. Furthermore, we recognize their hard work during every shift. We truly value their service, which defines our culture of driver appreciation.
